This was the most disappointing vacation we have ever had. The weather was great every day, and the time as a family was nice- but this "resort" was not worth what we paid for. We had nothing but problems from the time we checked in. I was left standing at the front counter for over 30 minutes when a computer went down. The other girl up front proceeded to check everyone in line behind me in- while the girl helping me disappeared and never came back. we got to our room, which was NOT what was pictured online. After getting groceries- and spending a little bit at the kiddie pool(which had something white and gross floating in the water), we came back to settle in only to find one of the tvs was messed up. maintenance came to look at it- and jiggled the wires on the back and left stating they could not fix it- that the contractor would need to go inside the wall. the front desk advised the contractor would be there the next day, but nobody ever came. i called for status around 4pm- and ended up having to go downstairs for another 30 minutes wait at the desk for assistance. i was told someone was supposed to have called me to offer me a partial credit for a night- but that the girl had dropped the ball. I will say we were given a free breakfast for the first night's inconvenience with the tv. we were then moved to another room after finding out that the contractor was not actually coming for a whole nother day. and given another breakfast. we moved all of our stuff to the new room, which was in pretty rough shape. the furniture was all so banged up and and several of the drawers looked to have been broken but never fixed. we settled in-again- and i began cooking dinner. only to find that 2 of the 4 burners on the stove did not work at all. so we called and maintenance came to fix them-and left them crooked and smoking. later that evening or the next, we noticed that the air in the front room seemed a little muggy and the temp on the display screen was in Celsius. maintenance came and unplugged the unit and plugged it back in- then left saying they would be back when they found the manual for the unit. they NEVER came back- the whole rest of the trip. The outside of the unit(on the balcony) appeared to have been busted. there was rust on the appliances. we called housekeeping a couple times for extra pillows and blankets as we are a party of 6- and there were only towels for 3 people in the bathroom and not enough pillows for all of us to have one. after waiting an hour and a half- my husband had to go downstairs to ask for some at the front desk. housekeeping actually tried coming in one morning while we were still sleeping, while other days they never showed up. There were roaches on the property. my kids saw some by the indoor pool, and we saw some near the elevators and in the hallways. the condition of the elevators was really unclean. you could tell they had not been cleaned in a long time, and some of them were missing ceiling panels. you could see rust and dust and bugs in the top of the elevator. My son actually got sick the night before we checked out- he is still sick- and the doctor said it is likely he caught something viral on the visit. It does not surprise me due to the uncleanliness of this "resort". we paid almost $2000 for a week in a dirty and unkempt hotel. It is apparent they do not maintain the grounds adequately and only care about making money. They false advertise on their website to make it look very upscale and clean, when in fact, it is filthy and most rooms have something broken or busted. I completed a survey from them and did a review upon checkout. They have yet to even reach out to me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! we could have stayed somewhere much nicer for what we paid.
