This hospital is very underrated. It's often compared to a larger hospital here in Iowa City that's supposedly the best around. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you want to be patted on the head and told "you ARE 80 years and it's probably something you're going to have to live
with, " go the hospital on the west side of town. Mercy's doctors and nurses, for the most part, are a lot more caring and will try to solve the issues you are being seen for. AND you don't have to have your surgery done by a student.
