Louvain-la-Neuve is about 1h30 from Brussels. I bought the tickets at the central station. Just be careful because you also have the station Louvain. I was able to come and go the same day. I booked the day to spend at the museum and it was the most special of them all. If you are a fan of Tintin, going through this museum is almost mandatory. The place is huge, has practically all the original comics. I went on a winter Thursday. The museum had only one school class, but as the place was large I barely noticed their presence. The staff were super attentive and kept my bag promptly. I chose to have lunch at the museum restaurant, although it was not very cheap, I found the price fair for the quality of the food. If you want to save money, go away from the shop. The replicas of Tintin, Milu and Captain Haddock are perfect. However, my dream was to know this place. So, I prepared to spend many hours there, to have lunch and to buy all the replicas that I could bring in the bag.
