My mini-split unit stopped cooling in early August...

My mini-split unit stopped cooling in early August, during those triple-digit hot days. When turned on, unit cooled for 10 min. or so, then the fan stopped and the system just hummed. I called Sky Heating, since they'd done "regular maintenance" on the system last April. They didn't know what was wrong. (See my yelp review for Sky Heating for details). So I called Pyramid. They were swamped, couldn't schedule me for a few days. But I know they are familiar with mini-splits so I said OK and took the first appointment available. Spencer was the tech they sent. How great was he? When I turned on the unit it seemed to work. Spencer said no problem, let's let it run for a while. He checked circuits, told me about the training he'd had on these units, did some cleaning as the machine continued to work PERFECTLY, darn it! Then we went outside to look at the pump. And when he opened the pump, the cooling stopped inside and the unit went into it's usual humming non-activity. So, turns out the folks doing 'maintenance' had apparently never looked at the pump - at least when I was here no one ever asked to see it. Spencer cleaned out the pump, and cool air began to flow into my hot house. And Spencer lingered a while longer to make sure nothing else was wrong. I highly recommend Spencer particularly and Pyramid in general.
