I waited until my mechanic did the inspection before writing this, just FYI. I mean, I really love my truck but I made myself wait.
I came in with my own funds and their advertisement for the truck that I wanted.
I put $500.00 down on an Avalanche and they agreed to do a couple repairs before I picked it up.
Then I realized that it did not have a feature that I wanted and I asked to move my $500 over to a different truck, even though I already committed to buying the first truck.
Rob said no problem and was very accommodating.

I came back to check out this second truck. It was more expensive than my first pick. But full disclosure-as long as it wasn't hemorrhaging oil, I was pretty much sold.

And wow, it was such a difference! I immediately felt the price difference and could see where my money was going. The second Avalanche was a much smoother ride, better maintained, and had hella features- all in excellent working order.
I had been looking at Avalanche trucks for sale everywhere from Tacoma to Salem to Bend and I knew that the pricing was correct and typical for our area, but seeing where the value went when I compare the two trucks- that was very important and reassuring.

I like that they let you test drive without a sales guy with you. I like that I could bring others with me and take it to a parking lot, bust out our flashlights and crawl under it without distractions.
I like that I had the option to do the title myself and avoid a fee.
I like that they gave me a reasonable amount of time on the trip permit.

I've brought my own funds to dealers before, and when I did, they signed me up for financing anyway as a backup in case there was any issue with the cashier's check. Then I would have to call and cancel that financing the following week.
I don't know if financial communication has maybe changed or possibly Lot 99 LLC is just cooler like that, but Rob just took the check and gave me the keys. No "backup financing". No waiting around. Quick paperwork. Sweet.

So today my extremely thorough and time-tested mechanic completed his inspection and told me: "You got a good one." One minor repair was needed and it was one that I was expecting.
Over all- I got a truck that had been well taken care of by the prior owner/s and needed almost nothing, which is better than what I expected for a 9 year old truck.

I mean I kind of knew it was in good shape, but was glad for the confirmation.

You sold me a good one, Lot 99! Thanks Rob!
