What an amazing, if expensive, breakfast. We love french toast and having had terrible french toast elsewhere in NYC, but fond memories of great french toast here a few years ago, wanted a more positive experience this time. Is a beautiful suite of dining rooms, they have changed the dining room from a beautiful, light, high ceilinged grand dining room, into a series of smaller areas with sliding partitions, and the decor is more like an old boys club. We were surrounded by mostly suited business people. It's dark but cosy and chic. The staff are amazingly efficient but quite cool - as in could be less aloof and more friendly. A great menu, which even had a 'Chinese breakfast' which one of us ordered. The plates were virtually clean by the end. Delicious and overall a wonderful experience.
