I visited MRHC in April. I was very sick and knew something wasn't right! The dr who came in took my symptoms left and came back and said it was anxiety or indigestion. I am not one to speak up but I knew something wasn't right. When I told her it was neither of those things she became very rude and asked if I wanted to stay in the hospital to which I replied no but I knew something wasn't right and didn't want to go home and get worse. She left and another dr came in a couple hours later and asked if I wanted to stay and tried to tell me what anxiety felt like blah, blah, blah. (I swear anxiety is their answer for everything!) They sent me upstairs where the awesome drs I seen let me know my heart rate was really high and labs showed that I was basically low of everything in my body. They listened to my symptoms and ran one other test. I had a bad infection in my stomach. At one point one dr said he dont even think they looked at my labs or why they wouldn't have noticed with my elevated HR that something was wrong! I knew last night when I needed to go to the er that anywhere would be better than mrhc but for convenience I went. Bad idea! I seen the same dr who tried to send me home with a diagnosis of anxiety instead of taking the time to actually look at the labs or my heart rate to see there was something wrong! I was disrespected. My bp was elevated but after I used the restroom no one hooked me back up. That's right folks they took my blood pressure once in the 4 hours I was in the er. Never hooked it back up after the first 30 min it stayed in the floor. I was given a breathing treatment after the lady said I still had a lot of wheezing. I recieved an ekg by jennifer er tech she was by far the rudest most unprofessional young lady. Someone seriously needs to teach her bedside manners! My o2 got down to 90 no one ever came in the dr came in listened to my chest and said sounds good will get your papers and you can go. I didn't argue who cares that my o2 was 92 now they certainly didn't care to come hook me back up to the machine or to have the courtesy to shut the blinds while pulling my shirt up to do a ekg. I decided then and there I will never go back to mrhc I will drive 3 hours to avoid it. I understand the nurses and dr have a lot on them. I work in the health care field too. But no matter how stressed or how bad my day is I never let a patient feel like a burden. We are in the health care field to serve others! If we can't do it with decency and courteously then we are in the wrong field!!! Please for the safety of the community work on caring about their needs and not just brushing them off or making them feel like they are a burden! I do not reccomend the er. I will say the actual hospital stay in April was great! The drs were very good they cared about my well being and did everything to make me comfortable and better! I stayed several days and was not dissatisfied once. I just wish they would work on the er!
