I saw Dr. Grisham for severe acid reflux. During the visit I told her twice that our insurance carrier would not cover an Rx for omeprazole, the standard medication prescribed. She nodded, but clearly did not listen to me. Sure enough omeprazole was the prescription sent to our pharmacy.

A week passed with no call from the pharmacy. The nurse then phoned and informed me that our insurance carrier wouldn't cover the medication prescribed. I told her, "I know. I told Dr. Grisham that a week ago." The nurse then assured me that a new Rx was being sent in right away and I'd have it very soon.

Another week and a half passed with no call from the pharmacy. I phoned to speak with the office manager at College Park and was told I'd have to leave my number. They have not called me back, but they managed to send me a bill for an office visit that did not treat my urgent need.

I'm now looking for a new primary care physician and I must let others know not to waste their time, health or money with College Park Family Care. They simply don't care.
