Went with my wife who was mesmerized by their food. I couldn t decide between an awesome sounding Reuben sandwich or an amazing sounding bacon burger. I was amazed when I was presented with a mash up of both as a Reuben Burger.!.! BEST SANDWICH EVER!!! How surprised I was when I was offered a custom sandwich and was very impressed that they took the time to humor my interest in a custom sandwich, will definitely go back after an amazing experience!

Ate breakfast Friday about 20 minutes after they opened. There were only four people there when we got our food but that doubled shortly afterwards. We shared a appetizer and the regular coffee was terrific. I ordered two banana pecan pancakes and they were so large I couldn't eat them all, so off they went for a next day snack. They were absolutely fantastic and worth every bit of the cost. Now we're going to try lunch.
Waited too long to finally have a meal here. Their hours are a bit restricted but if you re looking for an exquisitely delightful menu they won t disappoint. The Crab Rangoon was delicious, although I didn t find the dipping sauce to be in my favor, I think most people would enjoy it. The host suggested a chili sauce which I will definitely do the next time we visit. The food all came quickly, perfectly plated and prepared and the staff were genuinely pleasant. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast soon!

Wednesday breakfast at 8:45am and the place was practically empty. Gave four stars because it took a bit to order because the server is also the cook and potentially the owner and was getting a food delivery all at the same time. Still, some people think this place is expensive. I think that the food makes it worth the price. Breakfast food is excellent. Server/potential owner is polite and welcoming.

Okay brunch, although I was a bit disappointed. It was filling no doubt but a bit greasy. For a contemporary brunch place I'd expect good coffee, not going to find that here. Not open on Sunday is another knock, #1 brunch day of the week.

Best breakfasts ever. A little $$$, but for an elegant upscale change from standard diner breakfasts, it's worth it. Eggs Benedict Florentine is the best!

I LOVE this place! However, I haven t been for a while, and was so excited to bring my sister and brother in law today. I checked the hours online. It says they close at 4. We drove 45 minutes, arrived at 3:05, the door was locked and said they closed at 3. Disappointed . Please update your information.

I ve been visiting Tapenade on my visits to York over the past few years. I have yet to order a dish I didn t thoroughly enjoy. Their flavored coffees are always unique and tasty, plus their service staff makes sure to keep it topped off and hot! I definitely recommend the stuffed French toast or the crepes!

Service was fine Chicken salad sandwich with a croissant. Chicken salad was ok Croissant was one of those small fake kind you get by the box at Giant. Really dry as well. I was starving so I ate it all Won t order it again Don t recommend it either

We arrived at 8:20 on a Friday night in December 2014 looking for a nice meal after a nice night. Our family was turned away by very standoffish staff saying that the sign outside saying they are open to 10 pm meant nothing: their last seating was 8 pm. I have never seen a sign saying a restaurant is open until 10 and been sent away at 10, let alone 8:30. We ended up not being able to eat together because one of us was staying in the area while the others needed to head to Harrisburg. I have no idea why there was "no room at the inn" but I was offended by this treatment.

Have eaten here several times and the food has always been great. Few places like this that offer something other than the generic chain restaurants and family diners. Great when you are in the mood for something different. Place is small so it can get crowded quick. Friendly staff. Clean.
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with coworkers this morning. This was the caramel pecan french toast and The Omelette special with pepper jack cheese, smoked ham, and spinach. Delicious! I will be back!
I had the eggs Benedict parfait. The poached eggs were lovely but I was a bit disappointed that the ham was very thinly sliced lunch meat, not what I was expecting.

An amazing village bistro. If you are on 83 traveling between MD and PA, Tapenade Bistro is well worth the 5 minute detour.
The food it's pretty good. I had the baked tomato soup, it was great. However, when I came back for the second time for lunch I was reminded on how severe is the problem with flies inside the dining room. The first time I had lunch there were some annoying flies, but the second time it was impossible to enjoy the food I could not tell where they were coming from but it's all I could remember when I left. I guess I will wait until winter comes back and see if they have been able to eradicate them. What a disappointment with such good food.

Since I am in America I always try to find a place where I can enjoy my breakfast, so finely I found it and that is Tapenade Bistro, excellent customer service, delicious food and quantity and quality of food is awesome. They are very very clean. I love their food. Excellent job.

Although the food is delicious, the ownership is always standoffish. My family of color has visited this establishment several times and witnessed how friendly the owners can be to some. But we have never been made to feel included in their small talk and welcoming behavior. Today our waitress was so sweet and very kind. But yet again, we witnessed the two female owners spending time at numerous other tables with small talk and kind words and laughter; yet again not a peep to us, not even a "how is your breakfast." At one time, I made eye contact with one of the owners and she deliberately averted her glance to avoid a friendly exchange. We usually eat breakfast out 3-4 times per week and do enjoy the taste of their food, but it's hard to swallow being ignored each time. Sad!
Love having lunch and breakfast at this wonderful spot! You have to get there early as this is a popular spot! I will have to make sure to take some photos next time I am in to share with you! One of my favorites is the Chicken Salad sandwich on croissant. The Tomato Soup is amazing as well. Breakfast is simply amazing!
Food was very good and the service was attentive as well. However, it is very loud inside due to the small space.
After years in the area, finally checked it out. Not a fancy push place, but the food was absolutely amazing! A little pricey, but well deserved for the quality. Service was excellent and I could actually have a serious conversation with my companion. Will be back after I save some money!
