If it took them a day with the first diagnostic and they couldn't figure out the issue, How could they possibly figure it out in less than 54 mins ? ( Had they already figured it out and just wanted me to pay ?
Problem #2
Although i am not a mechanic, i am a biomedical engineer. I don't work on engines but i know that if an engine is being taken apart as they said they were doing it, it would definitely take more than 54 mins.
So what exactly did they do different in that time frame that they hadn't done before? Did they actually ever even bother to take the engine apart and actually diagnose what the issue was ?
Problem #3
After they supposedly took apart the engine and diagnosed the issue, i was assured that addressing the issue would fix my car which is why i agreed to have them fix it, but they fixed whatever they said they did and i paid Yet The Car is still not working.
Problem #4
After having "fixed" what they said they did , they said they performed further diagnostic and recommend changing the engine. Which other diagnostic could you have possibly need to do in the engine if you had previously actually taken it apart and actually looked ? Why would one choose the easy way out and just say that they won't do any other repairs unless the engine is changed?
Ill like to remind you that the car still starts , runs and drives but the issues that caused me to take the car in remains.

So basically, i come in, get charged for a diagnostic twice ( Said diagnostic is never done, i am pretty sure that all they did is scan the car with a VAGCOM scanner or OBD scanner, read the codes and assumed fixing the codes related issues would address the issue without actually taking the engine apart as they pretend to have done).
I am told to pay for something which will fix the car, i pay and the car still doesn't work ?
Could you honestly tell me that you would be ok with footing $2000+ for repairs on a vehicle and be returned an Un-repaired vehicle ?
I am not just complaining as a sorry customer. I owned at least 4 VW over the years and i am well aware of the maintenance costs one can incur by owning such vehicles but Never have i had to pay and be returned a non repaired vehicle. If the issue could not be addressed, they would charge for the diagnostics understandably but never for service on parts that did not address the issue. I was never even offered a loaner car the entire time and when i brought it up, i was told i could rent a car for $40/day.
I can definitely say with confidence that i am NEVER returning to that dealership and will recommend all the friends i have that own VWs to never use their services either.
