As much as the hotel has some qualities, the poor ...

As much as the hotel has some qualities, the poor reception service made my experience terrible. It is located on a busy avenue, so parking is a problem. I had already reserved the parking and when we arrived, as there was no place to park (the two spaces for boarding and disembarking were occupied) I put the car "in front of the garage" and asked my wife to get out and ask for the opening. She was rude and rudely answered saying that they could only release access after check in and that in that position I would be fined and that they "would not be responsible". But what a beautiful welcome! My desire was to cancel the reservation at the same time, but there was no such possibility. Where would you leave the car, then? Luckily one of the boarding and disembarking waves cleared (after about 10 minutes) and I managed to put the car there. The transit agent - who seems to be on duty at the scene - soon warned me that it would be for a maximum of 15 minutes. I thought it was plenty of time. Was not. I was third in line and each check in took MORE than fifteen minutes EACH! That is, if you are the third in line, you can prepare to wait more than 40 minutes! While I waited, I heard two guests complaining that they had been fined! All of this was handled badly by the reception!
Lucky that the second in line just wanted to confirm the reservation and there was time to finally check in and store the car without being fined.
But the "we don't care about you" festival isn't over.
Parking is next to the hotel and has no access from the inside. You have to leave and enter. I had to get some luggage from the car. The gate was open so I went in, but then they closed and left me locked there! I signaled to the camera, screamed, hit the gate, screamed like crazy, jumped in front of the camera and nothing! Fortunately, passers-by on the street perished my despair and notified the reception. Few times in my life have I been so angry! I arrived at the reception in "knife in the skull" mode to demand the return of my money and leave that place, but as my wife and young daughter were already installed in the room, all tired of the trip, I gave up.
Finally, at the exit, we were advised that we cannot access the garage on our own and that the car has to be requested at the reception. That is, we had to store the luggage with the car on the street, subject to all kinds of setbacks (especially heavy traffic).
In short, the service was so bad that it made me want to leave twice in less than an hour. And we were not the only ones; we heard several other guests with similar complaints.
To be fair, the maid was lovely, very attentive and polite.
I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
