Only went in to get a synthetic oil change, but was told immediately that my brakes needed to be changed. I didn't want to believe it, but I knew it'd been over 70k miles since my last brake change, so maybe time was indeed due. Later my service advisor stated it was approx 1mm. I thanked him for his assistance. BTW, it was approx a 2.5 total wait time before my vehicle was done and discharged. Fast forward 3.5 weeks later, a sharp sound of metal clanging against my undercarriage while driving on the freeway was heard. That evening, my brakes were making a weird noise, especially while reversing. Even worse of noise and sound, when I'd hit a speedbump or ding in the road. We looked at the right driver side tire, and it was plain to see that the caliper bolt was completely missing. I have a deep feeling that it has something to do with the lack of tightening brake bolts when I had the service done on 1/10/19. Brakes are your life. I could have been in a far worse situation if we hadn't checked this out. Furthermore, I'm out of a car for the next 2 days as I get situated on getting a part replacement & getting the vehicle fixed. Crown Honda always manages to upset me, whether it's a delay in service, over-quoting for repairs, and now, its for a potential faulty inspection of bolt replacement.
