If you have a surfeit of dogs because of the hurricane, maybe you shouldn't verbally attack people who are trying to give a dog a good home. The conversation with the intake counselor was extremely shame-oriented. His expectations for dog owners are far above and beyond what anyone with a full-time job could possibly uphold. I do not recommend adopting an animal from this shelter.
