We ve known Asbury since the 70 s. Both our parents were here in the late 80 s/90 s, and we came in about 15 years ago. Before we made our decision, we ran the numbers on annual costs and discovered that from a strictly financial view (considering house maintenance, new roof, appliance repair/replacement, utilities, taxes, insurance, etc.) Asbury was arguably a better bottom line.
The staff are almost like family. Housekeeping treats the place like it was their own home. Maintenance is everything you could ask for. And then, there is convenience. For example, if an appliance breaks, depending on the urgency, it is usually replaced within hours (with no charge for a service call.) Couple all this with a theater, bistro, TV station, bank, fitness center and pool, all set in a beautiful campus, our only regret is that we didn t move in sooner.
