My review is based on an experience we had while having a septic inspection before buying our new home. First, the two gentlemen who came out to do the inspection did not seem very knowledgeable at all. They argued, while the older man ordered the younger guy around. The older man did not seem to understand how the lift station connected to the septic tank worked. Second, we did not have the tank pumped because no one explained to us that in order for a septic system to truly be inspected all the gunk needs to be out of the tank. We were told that the tank should be pumped at some point soon and that our tank was fair and our drain field was in good shape.

So, fast forward to not even two months into owning this new home. Our home has a septic alarm attached to the house with a red light, which contains the breakers to the panel itself and the lift station. We did not know there was an issue because the breakers were both off (not tripped but actually turned off) until one of the toilets started gurgling. So, we call a different company to pump the septic, thinking that is the issue.

The new company comes out and pumps the tank and opens the lid to the lift station. Right off the bat, he notices an issue. The pump isn t working at all because the breaker isnt even on. He tells us the tank should have been pumped years ago. Which is very different than what we had been told plus, it seems that the lift station and the panel connected to the house were not inspected at all. On the inspection form given to us, no where does it mention the lift station or the panel even though these are huge components to our septic system. The panel itself is not in great condition and also needs to be replaced (besides the pump). He also explains that the pump is drawing too many amps and is most definitely on its way out.

We understand that an inspection is done to what can be seen but basically we paid this company $175 to open the tanks and look around at the limited space and then determine that our drain field was fine. No one ever explained that it should be pumped to do a thorough examination or that there may be issues with the lift station or the panel.

I would not recommend this company at all and to also check the other reviews available.
