It's many years since I have visited Buckfast Abbey but it still holds the same appeal. There is a new visitor centre which although is informative without too much reading, the loudness of the music and other exhibit sounds makes concentration a little difficult at times. The disappointment for me was the restaurant. None of the cakes were priced and not a cream tea in sight. Some of the cabinets were quite empty of food. Prices are what you expect for this type of attraction. Because of the grounds, a picnic would be lovely (weather permitting). It's an attraction worth visiting for an hour or two.
