Thank you Maple Shade Mazda for the great customer service I received during the entire purchasing process. I had not bought a new car since 2004. I lost that car in a head-on collision in August, and was not looking forward to the experience. Actually, wasn't even looking forward to driving anything...
No lie, as me and my boyfriend got out of his truck to walk on the lot I said to him, "Let's see how long it takes for the vultures to come out." Poor Tom Stefanopolous, he was the one (vulture lol) and as he approached he saw me laughing as I said to my boyfriend, "I told you so!" What I liked about Tom from the get-go is after I explained why I was laughing, he took it in stride and did not get defensive. First impressions are extremely important in my book. I further explained to him about the accident and that I was just shopping around. I was in no way making a decision that day. He listened.
Tom told me all about the CX-3, which I test drove, but I was drawn to the CX-5. I test drove the CX-5 too. He did not bash any other make or model while he explained to me all of the features the Mazda had to offer. I liked that a lot about him too. Tom worked up prices on both, thinking, if I went with anything, it would be the CX-3. No pressure from him at all.
We left and we stopped at another dealer, where I was not impressed. By the time I got home I knew what I wanted so I went over my budget and determined I could easily manage buying the CX-5 as long as I qualified for the low interest loan (0.9%), which I did. I called Tom the next day and to his surprise I told him I was going with the CX-5. :) I worked with Tom and Brian in finance to finalize everything. They found exactly what I wanted in less than a week and I'm happy to say I'm a proud and new owner of a 2018 Mazda CX-5! Tom has followed up to see how things are going and has been very responsive with any questions I have. Thanks to everyone I've dealt with so far!
I've heard great things about the service department, but have to wait for my 7,000-mile service to share a comment!
