Growing up in the area this was a staple location to go to when family visited. After 30+ years of going I still love to go and bring my kiddo. In late May or early June with the water flowing is amazing. Campgrounds are great. Lots of little areas just off the dunes with the grills to have a nice lunch. Worth a visit if you're in the area, hands down. Something for everyone at any age, literally.
