As an RN, I deal with many physician practices in the area. All of a sudden, I needed a PCP for myself. I did not hesitate to choose this teaching family practice group.

You come in the door to an extremely busy waiting room and are greeted by a very pleasant reception staff. I watch these ladies take the time to assist the patients with the new computer sign-in system. Their patience is amazing. While they are confronted with many patient issues, questions (and behaviors) all day long. It is very comforting to observe their kind manner and genuine concern for the patients as they check in and assist each one of them with their multiple problems.

As previously stated, this is a teaching practice. These young MD's are being taught by the most experienced and compassionate staff in the area. There is something to learn every day from the support staff and the professional staff. This staff is SO very patient focused. They are caring, supportive, and knowledgeable. I have observed many times, first hand, the medical staff's kindness and concern towards their patients, young or old, rich or poor. They take the time that each patient needs to resolve their issues.

Yesterday, I personally, had an urgent medical issue. I was having testing at the hospital and the results needed immediate medical attention. The Specialist that ordered the test said that I needed to be seen by my PCP or had to go to the emergency room. It was about 2pm, a day before a holiday. I called this office, and despite having a full schedule, the staff there told me to come over and they would fit me in. There was not a minute of hesitation. Who does that anymore? When I arrived, I was quite upset and this staff had me smiling when I left.

So....while people may complain and be unhappy with this office or any office, it could be you in the situation I was in. Of course this would make your wait a little longer or the staff a little busier. To me, St. Luke's Coventry Family Practice is a group of amazing people who care about their patient's and we are very lucky to have access to them. Trust me, I have been involved with many medical practices over the years and this group is one of the best. Thank you for all you do St. Luke's Coventry Family Practice.
