Place looks productive, its a very organized shop...but what i disliked was how in their job ad, it said to come in, apply and be willing to take a weld test. My past experiences with companies was that normally the company provides tools for you to do the weld test. I show up and was not given a grinder to clean my welds, but they said that the weld coupon was going to get Ultrasonic Testing at a lab. There is no way that you can pass the test without using a grinder to clean your welds within each pass, to ensure proper fusion onto each deposited weld. What i disliked was how at the end of my test, they give me a grinder to clean up the weld spatter (at this point i was under the impression that this job requires you to bring your own tools for the job, because the guy had to borrow from another worker).

I am thankful for letting me test, but i sure wish i found out all this info before the weld test. Im sure this company has their reasons for paying their workers a low hourly rate, but i cannot supply my own tools and produce UT quality welds while working for a low rate.
