Brought our hamster in early Feb late at night because he collapsed. They took our baby immediately and were able to assess him, give some pain meds and fluids. We had to let him stay two nights. He was always being monitored and they allowed me to visit the next day. Dr. Shakeri called multiple times to update me on Ziggys condition and provide information on next steps and the potential costs. We ultimately found out he has a bleeding mass inside him and that nothing else could be done treatment wise and we were sent home with Yunan Baio meds. Over a month later and Ziggy has been back to his normal self with no more incidents. I am very grateful to the overnight staff who helped stabilize him and to Dr. Shakeri for saving our baby after we thought we would lose him! Only compliant is it seems the price for treatment was very high but we had an emergency and therefore limited options for places to go that see exotics and we would pay any amount to save our animals.
