This was a very nice resort with friendly people, 3 golf courses, spacious guest rooms, a relaxing spa and pool area, and multiple dining options. I enjoyed the pool, especially the cabana area, which was first come first serve at no additional cost. There was a pool bar area with food and drinks. We had the balsamic chicken sandwich and the grilled veggie burger... both were great. There was a complimentary shuttle from the hotel lodge that arrived every 5 minutes to take you to the black or red/blue clubhouses for golf or dining. The spa was cave-like (in a good way) in that it felt secluded and tranquil and had many jacuzzis tucked into what felt like private areas throughout the spa (all with a variety of temperatures from a cold plunge of 40-50 degrees to a hot 104 degrees). The jacuzzis did not have very powerful jets which I was a little disappointed with and they did run out of lockers for guests to use in the ladies locker room, but the price was right and the facilities were very nice. It only cost $20 to use the jacuzzis, steam room, and sauna for the day if you're not planning to get a massage. If you have a chance, the view from the 6th floor at the Fragmentary Blue lounge at sunset is beautiful. We enjoyed some beer and wine there. Our room was very spacious and had a split plan, with one side having a couch and TV area with a bookshelf containing several novels like To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, A Land Remembered, and The Catcher in the Rye. The other side of the room had the bed(s) and TV. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and a nice shower. Robes were provided in our room. The Bone Valley Tavern overlooks the black golf course. We enjoyed going there several times. I recommend the beef nachos, but plan to share them because it's a large portion. The beef and mushroom pot pie was also really good. Others in our group said they enjoyed the burgers and the lobster/shrimp cobb salad. While we were there we saw deer roaming the golf course. The men we traveled with enjoyed the golf courses and said the black course was the most difficult of the 3 and they mentioned that the caddies were very helpful. At the red/blue lounge we ate at Restaurant Fifty Nine. The fish sandwich was really delicious and the onion rings are definitely enough to share. At night we enjoyed relaxing outside at the fire pit or inside by the fireplace.
