TL;DR slow service, disappointing drink menu, burnt food.

Very slow service, took nearly 45 minutes to even get water. Waiter disappeared for extended periods multiple times. I thought maybe they were just short staffed (it happens) but based on the other reviews slow service seems to be common.

Beer menu is mediocre for a restaurant called "Carolina Ale House", with a whopping nine local taps. None of the taps were beers from Durham.

Ordered a burger medium, it came back burnt. Given that I was hungry (after waiting over an hour for it) and it was edible I ate it, but it was not good.

I suspect that the food and service can be better than what we received based on the other reviews and because the appetizers we ordered were very good. Seems to be more hit and miss than I am comfortable with though and I do not plan to return.
