We booked a 3 night stay. After reading the reviews I was skeptical and decided to only stay one night and finish out our vacation somewhere else. We stayed 6/19. The reviews were pretty much right. Certain areas of the resort have no lights and it was dark, some of the pools were dirty, the entire hotel needed updating, and it smelled mildewy or something. I felt suffocated walking through the halls. Now after saying all that it was not a horrible stay. My room was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good and affordable. The rooms do need updating. The wood on the cabinets inside the room was chipping. But that did not bother me at all. I just thought to mention. The photos of the rooms and hotel on the internet was the same but probably taken 20 years ago or something. Would I stay here again? No. We will just stick to the one we usually stay at when we come to Myrtle Beach. The only reason we didn't book our usual is because of price. We wanted to be cheaper. You do get what you pay for though.
