After an emergency due to a fractured femoral neck...
After an emergency due to a fractured femoral neck on November 14, 2017 and operated on the next day. After consultation, a duoput prosthesis was used.
Overall, I am satisfied with the surgical procedure.
On Thursday, November 16 around 9:30 a.m. (about twelve hours after the O.P.) Dr. V. M. in front of me as an assistant doctor and explained the course of the operation to me. I was given a picture of the inserted duo-head hip prosthesis.
I was promised that someone from physiotherapy would come over every day and do some exercises with me, walking exercises in the hallway and stairwell would give me security at home to start with, he said.
On Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th of November no one from physiotherapy was with me.
And even though I was chopping through the station several times, nobody could explain to me why and why I was waiting, or nobody came.
So I was on my own four days before my discharge until Monday, November 20th.
On Monday, November 20th came Dr. V.M. and handed me the dismissal report.
The report attests to physiotherapy-assisted exercise with support staff.
Interesting because I had been waiting for this for four days. By Monday morning my report was already written and handed over. Only until then nothing had happened, not even an explanation why and why nobody showed up with me.
Shortly after the report was handed over, there were finally five minutes of quick exercises in the hallway and in the stairwell. And from home and watch how you get on.
When I expressed my disappointment to Dr. V.M. He only made silly excuses and statements to me. I felt treated like a stupid boy. My wife was there as a witness.
At the follow-up check 9 weeks later, the same, next assistant doctor with absolute idiotic and unqualified statements. Answered my questions without looking at the medical file first.
Conclusion: good surgical intervention, everything else CATHASTROPHE.
I prefer not to write anything about cleanliness in the wards (bad), as some other patients have already described in abundance.
GERMAN is not my mother tongue (for those who discover some grammatical errors here).
