We came in to the ER yesterday, because or Doctor ...

We came in to the ER yesterday, because or Doctor requested we go there to get out 2 year old daughter an IV because she was dehydrated from being ill over the weekend. That was a little after 8pm. We had a short wait and then they took her vitals, and asked us a few questions, which we answered very clearly. Then we waited for hours and they brought her back for vitals again because it had been so long and asked us the same questions again (useless). Then we waited for another long will and they took us back to a room where we waited forever (under the excuse they had 2 people hold up the Entire ER, not buying it you are a massive institution and that basically says my daughter does not matter to you). Finally a nurse pokes her head in and asks if she can get us anything and took her vitals again and asked the same questions again. After another long wait a DR comes in and asks the same questions we've answered at this point at least 4 times prior. We tell her we were sent there for an IV for our daughter and she says that too invasive and they'd like to see if she drink something or eat a popsicle (which my wife and i had stated multiple times we had already tried). Then she said she had to speak to another DR, they came in and asked the same questions again, which we answered the same as all the times before (without being rude or raising our voices at all). Then we waited forever an another nurse shows up and does vitals again and asks if she can pee for a sample, we do that and then wait another 30+ minutes for someone to come pick it up. No one at any point tells us any information about if they are running it through labs or anything. Finally after 7 hours they say take her home and make sure she gets liquids. 7 HOURS IN AN EMERGENCY ROOM (its like an oxy moron) It felt very much like no one cared. We even had 2 nurses say it was unacceptable how long we had been there (which was nice to hear, but there was zero action taken to get things done). We were there from 8pm-330am, to hear make sure she gets liquids. The time she spent there was worse for her then being dehydrated, being poked and prodded by 8 different people constantly having to wake up for the same thing to be repeated (which I better not see on any bill, I should not be billed for incompetence). I do not want any more lies or excuses from the people of Nationwide Children's... 7 .5 hours is unacceptable, you caused more harm than good. Either staff your building and see these babies and children or don't be open. My little baby will be scared for life, not wanting to go see a doctor because of this carelessness from your Hospital! I would hope someone would want to reach out and make this right somehow!
