$ 645 for vomiting is downright theft! My dog vomited 5 times a day. The next morning, he vomited his water. After several phone calls to veterinarians to make an appointment, I decided to go to the Daubigny emergency on Tuesday PM. A young veterinarian receives me ... she questions me. I tell him that my dog played with a babiche bone (leather) on Sunday evening and that there were small pieces of bone in his vomit on Monday morning. She thinks of an intestinal obstruction and offers me the following treatments: exam ($ 119); x-ray ($ 200); subcutaneous rehydration ($ 54); vomiting injection ($ 54). I leave with 3 medicines including a laxative and special food with fibers. Two days later my dog starts to have diarrhea. He wakes up every 2 hours on the second night and 3 times on the third night. It lasts two more days. I was told to give her the whole tube of laxative in two days ... maybe it was too much? I decide to call my breeder. I tell him about my mishap. She advises me never to go to Daubigny again. She tells me to give her rice water, then rice and ground meat. 12 hours later, everything is back to normal. My dog is back to himself. From now on, I will trust the good advice of my breeder! Never again will I go to Daubigny emergency!
