Nice complex with multiple galleries. Good selection of impressionist art, especially liked the wall mural by Matisse. Mesoamerican section was also interesting. Several galleries were closed when we were there for renovations.
Ancient at section was lacking and not well laid out. Would have liked to see the Ancient Egypt collection (it was closed)
Several nice cafes and outdoor seating areas. If you have baggage they will check it at the ticket counter. The La Brea tarpits are right next door. It's an additional fee to enter that museum but you can walk through the park and look at several pts for free. All in all, a good way to spend an afternoon.
