This is the mecca of attractions in Barcelona, probably of Spain, maybe all of Europe. If there's time for one thing to see, goto La Sagrada Familia. Gaudi was a genius in his work on this church/cathedral. Book ended by parks on each side (luckily) one side is the Nativity of Jesus Christ, the other side is the crucifixion. The nativity side looks very disorganized but if you can come back or look at it more closely you will love everything that side has to offer as much as the otherside which looks more crisp and clean. The inside is just extraordinary, all the columns, glass panes, ceilings, towers, etc, etc are works of a pure genius. Gaudi was against straight lines and definitely adhered to function will follow form. The lights and colors inside the main hall are breathtaking. You can pay extra to go all the way up to the top (via elevator) and then walk 500 steps to get back down. It's funny how the Catholic church made it an official church after seeing the amounts of $$$ this building was making - just an observation. Tons of tourists visit this place so be patient as you explore and take alot of pictures/videos. In order to sit at the pews - mainly for prayer - you have to be quiet, covered up for females and look like you are there praying, but most people are there to give their feet a rest and observe all the beauty that is Gaudi.
