BLUF: Lack of professionalism and wasting my (and others) time.

Last night I verified the posted business hours to plan a trip to the store (I planned on purchasing a complete setup). This morning when I started the 1.2 hour drive I double checked the hours and they were stated to be open. When I arrived the door was locked and lights were off. The hours posted on the door indicated that they should be open. I went over to Miguel s Pizza and asked if they knew when the climbing shop would be open the response I don t know, they vary their hours so much, but they should be open sometime today . I decided I would wait around for a little while because it was just before 09:00. As I was waiting another person came into Miguel s Pizza asking about the climbing shop. I went back over to the climbing shop to wait and witnessed 4 other people walk up to the shop to find it closed. At 09:30 I decided to drive down to the gas station where I have cell service to call their phone number. Once I got service and pulled up Miguel s Rock Climbing Shop on google I found that during the 45 minutes that I had been waiting, someone had changed their hours to 15:00-19:00.

Basically someone was around that could have opened the shop and sold hundreds of dollars worth of equipment, but it was easier for them to just change their hours once people were already there and waiting for them to open.

They might have the biggest selection of shoes, but I will never know, and they will never get a penny from me. I m sorry that I spent the $2 on coffee at Miguel s Pizza, they didn t earn it. My time is worth way more than the money I would have gladly spent. Apparently work ethic is lost on them.
