Dedicated teachers with a passion for what they do. My journey with this school started over 15 years ago and although my life journey has taken me geographically away I can attest to the quality of instructors you will meet and engage with. To help set context for this review, I previously was a travelling student for this school (I lived hours away and would travel just to train with them). While I haven't been able to train recently with them in the past years I was able to reconnect and start training remotely again. Here is a summary of what to expect with the school and some of my personal opinions as well:

1. They are old school, run a tough school, and will push you. This isn't a school for you if you aren't dedicated to training or want to attain a black sash in a year.
2. The instructors care and are heavily invested in their students and their well-being. This is a close nit group of instructors who are well respected in martial arts circles in NY. Personally, they are high quality individuals who show patience, are humble, and care about their students.
3. They maintain high expectations for their students looking for the quality in the student and pushing them to grow both physically and mentally. This isn't just a paycheck for them but a lifestyle.
4. They do offer classes for kids which help provide guidance and instill discipline (something unfortunately many kids need these days). However, they do want parents to be involved and you will see families training together!

This is an amazing school with dedicated instructors... don't let this school pass you by.
