Member for many years resigning in April. Once a great value, now a distressed shadow of its former self. Management treats members with great disdain. Complaints about anything are listened to and then promptly dismissed. Some old waitstaff and pro shop staff are still trying to do a great job but are underpaid, overworked and forced to work with new staff who can't seem to get anything right. Courses are crowded on weekends. Members game best tee times on computer res system and rarely are good tee times available to less aggressive members. Many women playing Queen City tennis for fun have been dissed by the pro managing rosters? Food has become nearly inedible and service horrible. Facilities are as dated as hotels in stephen king horror films. Finances are in shambles and a mandatory assessment has been instituted just to make minimum improvements to keep the place barely intact. Ownership of courses and management are at odds. Cart safety and management are not a priority and club Rangers regularly allow cart operation by drunks, children, and the physically and mentally handicapped, a great safety concern. When one member was severely injured by a handicapped elderly individual operating a cart he had been given on to joy ride with, right in front of a ranger, the club and its insurer denied liability and did not even apologize.
Caveat emptor, think twice and talk to numerous club members of any club before you join.
