FYI prospective tenants: according to the Act, no money is to exchange hands prior to viewing/signing the tenancy agreement and associated documents unless it's for a Holding or Key Deposit.....in which case, the receipt issued must clearly state this. This wasn't the case with my dealings with Godwin Witten Realty when I was directed to pay a rental deposit before seeing/singing the agreement and then refused a refund when I reneged within 24 hrs (husband was yet to co-sign) due to an sudden and unexpected change in personal circumstances.

Very poor standards. Ideally, no one should have to prompt a Property Manager to comply with legislation. I ended up receiving a refund in full when I refuted the PM s initial decision.

On another note, Coral Young I believe is the person responsible for recently berating a family member of mine in front of an audience of staff and clients at the front desk counter. My sister had left the office with her tenancy agreement in hand to take it to the vehicle her partner was waiting in (he was taking a work call) so he could co-sign it, which he did; when she returned, Coral stated that she had been standing out the front of the office watching her (really odd stalking behaviour) and insisted that she witnessed her forge the signature and then proceeded to berate/humiliate her while in the presence of others by continually refuting my sisters claims.. When my sister s partner came into the office to advise that he did in fact sign the agreement, Coral didn t bother leaving her office to speak to them.

As a result, my sister, being young and yet to develop the tools to deal with people like Coral, was really upset and has since retracted her tenancy application.

Coral: Very poor form. It s common practice for recruiters to google prospective employees to see what it returns. I sincerely hope you receive some positive feedback to balance out the negative that specifically names you on Google Review. Either that, or just stay with Godwin Witten where it appears your behaviour is indulged.
