Big, bad and beautiful! One of the best New England ski resorts and definitely a quintessential skiing and snowboarding destination for those whose mantra is Ski the East!

With two separate mountains (each with a separate base but linked via a beautiful ride on the chair that runs between them) both at about 4,000 feet, Sugarbush offers vast amounts of all types of terrain and around 500-1,000 feet more true skiable vertical drop then almost every other decent mountain in the East, with only Whiteface offering more. (And again, at Sugarbush, it's actually skiable vertical drop, unlike the hyped up claims of supposed vertical drop some mountains make by subtracting their highest point from their lowest - even if you can't ski from one point to the other!!!)
