Let me just start off by saying I'm not one who typically writes a lot of google reviews, but the experience I had a Jim Butler Chevrolet was terrible I thought I'd share in hopes that I might be able to help someone else save some of their valuable time (something of mine which Jim Butler Chevy cares very little about).

I'll start with the shopping experience I had about a month ago while I was looking for my next vehicle. Calling ahead to confirm a preowend vehicle is actually available and sitting on the lot does not seem to have any bearing on whether that vehicle will actually be on the lot when you arrive. Instead, you will be greeted by an eager salesperson who will inform you that the vehicle is actually not currently in stock, but he or she will quickly suggest an alternative model, with twice the miles, for a slightly higher price. Or at least thats what happened to us. When we expressed our displeasure with this, we were promised that we would be informed when that vehicle did finally arrive. That never happened. No loss though, we spent our money elsewhere.

The truck we did end up buying still has two years of warranty left on it, and after purchasing I noticed a slight clunk coming from the driveline under certain driving conditions. This was not an immediate concern, but I thought I would have it checked out under warranty. I made an appointement with Jim Butler to have the car looked at, waited two weeks for that appointment to arrive, and showed up promptly at 7:40 am for my appointment. I mentioned that I would wait until a tech could diagnose the car before leaving the dealership, assuming that the car would be checked out in a reasonable amount of time since I actually had an appointment. After about a half hour I questioned how long the wait might be. The first questioned they asked me was "did you buy it here?". When I answered that I did not, they told me the wait would be about 3 or 4 hours (just to have it driven/looked at). I responded that I would leave it and would just call later. They said if I left the dealership that it would be a few days. Yes, thats right... they told me my options were to stay and wait a few hours, just to have the car driven, or leave and come back in a few days because the car would no longer be considered priority. At this point I just asked for the keys back and left with the vehicle, completely dissatisfied.

I fail to see the point of making an appointment if I'm going to drop off the car for the appointment and its just going to sit on the lot for a couple days before service will even look at it!

I asked this question and the service rep told me that your appointment time is an appointment to be checked in and seen by the service group, but that is all. The service rep was nice enough to inform me that "we sell a lot of cars here" and that I should "try another dealership". I suggest everyone take that advice if your time is important to you.
