I took my sons on Labor day. Most animals were not released till well after opening so we did alot of backtracking. When the polar bear finally came out he was given toys filled with lettuce hearts. These guys eat walruses and Norwall whales. The penguin and pretator demos were cancled which was the whole reason we drove 3 hours to the Denver Zoo so it made our trip very uneventful. The park was very over crowded. Then to top it off I had a guest spill his beer on me when he bummed into me. Frankly it was a little disappointing to see so many parents of young children with a drink in their hand at 10am. So by 2pm there where quite a few parents stumbling around with their toddlers running loose. During passing with anothet guest my son, in his stroller was blasted in the face with a bubble gun that was sold in the gift shop. Its never fun to get soap in your eye. That was the last straw. 2 stars for the 2 rhinos but I wouldnt take me kids back to this zoo this lifetime.
