Love, love, love it here! Chicago is known for its blues history so it's only appropriate that Buddy Guy's is a city landmark that always packs in the fun. There haven't been much if any renovations to this location so it definitely shows its age and wear and tear. You can't anticipate a swanky blues bar. This is a bare bones, no frills place that knows two things - good music and good food. And for those two things, it surely delivers. The southern style soul food is a perfect companion to the soul-soothing tunes.

Fabulous tidbits of music history line the painted brick walls. So when you have been standing for a while (since tables are few and hard to get), it is interesting to have a walk around to see a few historical treasures that call Buddy Guy's home.

I was under the impression that after so many years at this location, Buddy Guys will be closing. I don't necessarily know the details behind this or if it's being rebuilt or moved elsewhere, but it will be a sad day when or if such a Chicago gem closes its doors.
