I am giving one star due to the incredibly low delivery on high expectations when one pays $800/night. There are so many comparably priced hotels that so far exceed the quality of this hotel that to detail each and every problem is pathetically a first world problem, I fell ashamed. However, we were thoroughly disappointed, and I'll continue. To begin, the first room we had was not bad. It was a bit dated, but was nice and romantic. Too bad we were not a couple. Since the double room we requested was sold out, we had to take a king and PAY FOR A ROLLAWAY bed. Great service guys. Secondly, the robe had stains all over the back. Hard to say exactly what it was, but felt unclean so we avoided the spacious jacuzzi and wonderfully heated pool (that's sarcasm as the jacuzzi is about the size of a spare tire and the pool was not heated above 15 degress.) Thirdly, when a double was available, the hotel did not inform us it was a downgraded room. Then once we moved we were forced to take it as our "better" room was already booked. This of course was our problem or priceline's and not Hilton's. I was utterly astonished at the poor attitude and service of the reception. I mean, this is Canada. Everyone here is nice. We only stayed in the hotel due to reviews, and most importantly, because our favourite hotel, Fairmont, was sold out. My advice is if you want a nice room and good service then avoid this place. Again, this is a first world problem, and the location next to gondola is great. However, there are so many better options in the village or creekside that I'd not stay here ever again.
