After a month of several phone calls, one in person visit, I was not having very good luck with communication. One person would say something, another completely opposite. Today I spoke with a wonderful individual named Eileen, she was very clear on the status report regarding my retirement funds and VERY kind in doing so. Completely restored my faith in NPERS.
