We were here again with the team in April 2018. Everything still perfect. Nice seats, free choice of seats, shuttle service as described, ASCI no problem. Gladly again
Stayed here in April 2014 just before Easter. The place is ideal for a trip to Rome. The pitches are big enough, even for a larger caravan. Electricity and water are at the places. Toilets and showers are of a good standard and therefore sufficient. The shower water is hot.
When approaching you drive through an area with many "professionals" on the roadside. Overall, the corner of Rome where the campsite is located seems a bit like a ghetto. But you don't have to move outside the CP by yourself.
A shuttle service runs every half hour from the campsite to a metro stop called Prima Porta. The trip there and back costs 1 euro if you keep your ticket for the return trip. The campsite has two smaller shuttles (approx. 10 people) and a large bus.
A single trip on the metro costs 1.50. This means that you can use all public transport for 100 minutes after validation. In about 20 minutes you are in Rome at the Flaminio station directly on the Piazza del Popollo. The ticket machines are also in German.
The shuttles run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wars good, then thumbs up.
