I am sorry to hear that Bewleys is having to close...

I am sorry to hear that Bewleys is having to close it's doors for good. I know I gave it a very bad rating due to its appalling foreign staff who were entirely inappropriate to work here. I'm sorry for the Irishman welcoming and seating guests as his behaviour was entirely appropriate for Bewleys. It's a pity Bewleys had lost what it was famous for - traditional coffee and treats and good old fashioned service. Lovely old building had changed little from its origins but I was horrified by the behaviour of the waitresses and others (mainly foreign) 'working' there when I visited recently.
Enough said! Different management, properly trained staff could have saved Dublin's best known cafe. Unfortunately it didn't happen!
