Matt I Review of The Gateway Arch

Incredible monument. I have visited twice, once as a ~12yo and again with my kids later in life. We did this trip as a short stop in the middle of a longer trip instead of making a whole day of it. We purchased our tickets online due to concerns over being sold out. On a weekday I'm not sure if that was an issue but we didn't have to wait in the ticket office line. One downside is I dont have a little ticket stub to put in a momento box. We got the movie + team ride to the top. One has to pick time slots when buying online. There aren't many guidelines on timing but we scheduled the movie first which was done in 30 minutes. This worked great with the tram ride as it's a longer and variable amount of time depending on how much time you spend at the top and the line to go back down. Amazing views from the top. The parking isn't well defined here, we parked in a riverfront structure which was expensive $7 but close by. If you have any interest in building, engineering or construction I'd recommend the movie. Shot on film in the 60s it's really well done and looks more modern than you'd expect and goes into many of the details of the structure and the inventive build process.
