I had a very disappointing experience with Charlotte Street Computers this time. I have taken my computers there previously and have been happy with their service in the past.
This time, I brought in a computer that was running fine, just slightly slow. I was trying to be proactive, get it serviced before problems showed up. After they ran a "diagnostic", I was told by them that there were programs running at start up or in the background that were slowing down the computer and was offered an additional "advance tune up" which I declined. When I tried to use the computer at work the next day it was EXTREMELY slow, so slow as to be non-functional. I called and reported this to Charlotte Street and they simply said I needed to have gotten an "advanced tune up". No matter how much I told them that I had dropped off a functional computer and returned with a practically non-functional one, they refused to consider the fact that something had happened to the computer as a result of running the "diagnostic". I did not feel heard as a customer.
I did not like their service or their attitude and did not feel that I could trust them enough to bring my computer back to them.
I took it to Best Buy instead. I will not be doing business with Charlotte Street Computers anymore.
