This week I experienced an issue with my 2014 iron 883. I did not buy my bike from this location but I went in as it was the nearest location to my home. I explained the two gentlemen in the parts department that my bike battery light was on and it would no longer start. I came in to ask for a battery tender to charge the battery to resolve the problem. They both insisted that the battery could not be charged by a tender and that the battery was likely dead and I would need to contact the dealership that I purchased the bike from to have them pick it up to service the bike and replace the battery. I took their word for it and left. Something did not sit right with me with this and I went and bought a battery tender from another harley location. I hooked up the tender to my bike for about 8 hours the battery was charged and the bike has been running perfectly since. The battery tender package clearly stated that it would charge a battery despite with the two gentlemen in the in the parts department told me. Unfortunately because of this incident I don't feel that I can trust their expertise at this location.
