I have been a customer with David McDavid ACURA for past 15 years, and decided to try the Honda dealership for proximity reasons. Car buying experience was fantastic but car service (A1) was pathetic. While all dealerships may carry out the technical services similarly, what sets apart one from another is the customer experience. The website was easy to book an appt. for 7:30 AM. Their breakfast corner was almost empty - two bananas and two oranges. At 9 AM it was only two oranges. (Acura dealership is always overflowing with many more options) I had requested that the mat in the trunk be hosed down and got a reply that "it won't have adequate time to dry." When I suggested that they hose it down at the beginning of the service so that it dries up in an hour .... brilliant idea! The external car wash was worse ever. There was a distinct layer of dust untouched. I had to take the car for additional wash right after servicing. It wasn't raining, yet the dirty paper-mat remnant was left behind in a messily fashion. Wasn't inviting me back to my driver's seat. I've never left the Acura (Plano) dealership feeling this disgusted. Didn't have time on a workday to resolve basic issues but as a customer experience I think I will stick to David McDavid Acura of Plano. I let go the free bluetooth speakers offer from Acura to tryout Honda service package; in hindsight not a good idea!
I am hoping my A1 car service was not compromised. Will find out soon.
