Made an appointment last Monday to inspect and fix the air bags recall. After 24 hours of keeping my car, the service rep name Erik Hernandez told me that they have to back order the required parts and it will be March or May 2015 before it arrives. He also told me that don't worry only couple of people has been killed in last 10 or so years and media is making a big deal out of this recall.
He also was trying to perform unnecessary service on my car. The service that was performed couple of month ago by David McDavid Honda. He was more interested to change my power steering fluid than fixing my air bag.
I went home and called Honda of America's customer service line and was told that this is a very serious problem and back order on parts should not take more than a week. I would like to know why David McDavid Honda hires people who are dishonest and lie to their customers. We have 3 Hondas in our household and I have always gone to David McDavid for repair and service. As of today, we will never step foot in David McDavid dealerships and I make sure all my friends and family who are also Honda owners know about this incident.
