We just came home today from a 5 night stay for our yearly softball tournament. We booked 12 rooms. We have stayed on the property for the last 4 years as a team. We had always been happy until this visit. Most of our rooms were located in the Carolina building back across from the indoor pool. Every room in that building had flies something terrible. We also all sat together at the picnic area off the side of the building in the parking lot and received some sort of flea bites. The whole team is still
itching terribly and that was 3 nights ago that they took place. Most complained about the rooms being dirty and moldy and these were supposed to be the new rooms well that was a joke. The bathrooms in all the rooms were so outdated and old and shabby looking plus definitely not the cleanest. Thankfully we travel smart and brought all our own cleaning supplies since we had one issue last year and each family was able to clean their room as best as we could. One family lost power in their room,the only room in the hotel and nobody that works there could figure out why. The front desk staff was nice and extremely helpful. However the night maintenance crew that was around was as sketchy and most of the guests that we saw. This used to be such a good family resort to stay in with families and feel safe. Definitely not the case anymore. The mask wearing and extra Covid precautions were total bullcrap. Nobody at any area beside the front desk wore a mask. Not employees or guests.Not to mention the pools were both way way way over their limit by many many people.One of our families said their carpet was so disgusting they spend as little time as possible there. Two of our team rooms didn t have working refrigerators. I don t mind the people hanging late at night especially if they aren t loud. But it s like at 10:00 the whole place gets very very very suspect. Multiple times people were sitting right out front of our building smoking weed and the one maintained man walked by atleast 3 times and didn t say a word. This place has gone down hill and is an extremely big waste of money. And we will be notifying the tournament director to check things out at this hotel before adding them to as an option. Disgusting and disappointed and our absolute last visit.
