Not what I expected to find. Rooms are very worn and don't appear to have been updated since the 80s. Room features (tv, ceiling fan, mini fridge, microwave, etc.) vary from room to room. Mattresses/beds are not very comfortable as they are broken down and clearly haven't been replaced in years. No attention to the details evidenced by paint splatters on curtains and windows, interior of shower door not being cleaned, used towels being removed but not replaced, etc. There are 4 restos on site - pool bar, lobby bar 'Zen', lobby resto, and Ireland's Steakhouse. I did not eat at Ireland's as it is too pricey for my taste, but heard it was very good. The limited menu for the lobby bar and resto are the same, and the pool bar has the same menu minus the entrees. The food was just okay (although the catered food for our conference was tasty) and the service was horrible. On the quieter days, it was difficult to get service - we had to flag down a server to clear a table for us, then for menus, then for silverware, then for refills, then for the check. The next night the server took my friend's credit card and forgot he was still processing payment and where he had put it. We had to ask him about it and then he had to go search foe it and ask us several times whether he gave it back (it was eventually resolved). Servers would serve food, not say anything, then walk away. They didn't even check on us throughout the meal. On the positive side, the main pool is lovely. Can't speak to the spa as I did not use it.
