This distillery is WELL worth a visit. Although it s not in Bridgetown, it is only a short and picturesque drive away from the city. An Imposing entrance and drive way. Free parking.
Unlike the Mt. Gay facility in Bridgetown, which only has a short tour of one room with pictures on the wall, a 7 minute film and a tasting session, all of which you pay for! The Foursquare tour is Free! Yes.
Here you get to walk around all the distillery and the stills, vats, process machines etc., which you can Not do at Mt. Gay.
Then tasting in a lovely old bar afterwards (yes you pay for the drinks, but the price is right and at $24 Barbados for whole a bottle of Rum, way cheaper than the Mt. Gay tour cost) is a great experience.
Here you get to walk around all the distillery and the stills, vats, process machines etc., which you can Not do at Mt. Gay.
The distillery grounds are amazing, large, well maintained. A museum and venues for concerts, weddings etc. It does look a bit past it s best, but they have so much potential here for any one who is interested.
