This is a great place to go for lunch when visiting New Orleans. The staff is awesome and the food was fantastic. There's something about finding a great, cheap, down-to-earth atmosphere where staff doesn't have to fake being overly nice to appease customers. The people here are genuinely cool. We (my boyfriend and I) were discussing, amongst ourselves, what we should order and mentioned splitting his po' boy and he could have some of my jambalaya. We placed our order at the kitchen, ordered some drinks, and sat at the bar. When our food came, the sandwich was cut in half on separate plates and since my boyfriend didn't want tomato on his, they brought a side out just in case I did. See? Cool people. The food was pretty great too! My only qualm was there's not really air conditioning, however, I chose to walk in there and stay after finding out so that's on me. AND IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT.
